About Rachel
Rachel James, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, is a registered nurse at Medical Associates of North Texas in Fort Worth, Texas.
Rachel became a nurse in 2002 and a family nurse practitioner in 2009 after completing her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier University, where she graduated with honors. Since then, she has worked in both pulmonary medicine and cardiology in Waco, as well as Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, Texas.
In December of 2015, she married and moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She began working at Baylor in Grapevine and has worked with Medical Associates of North Texas since 2016.
Rachel’s passion for medicine began as a young child when, through a series of health problems, she met nurses and providers who cared for her. She developed a desire to become the person who cared for others with the same compassion that she was shown.
Rachel is a mom to a very active little girl. Rachel and her family are medical mission volunteers, and in their spare time, they provide healthcare and patient education to others in underprivileged and developing countries around the world. She is active in her church and loves to teach children. When she's not busy with the above, she enjoys fishing, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.
