Suresh Kankanala, MD, is an internal medicine physician with an outpatient practice in the hospital district of Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to serving the patients of Medical Associates of North Texas, Dr. Kankanala also sees patients at Baylor All Saints Medical Center and Harris Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Kankanala earned his medical degree from Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam, India, and completed his postgraduate studies in general surgery at Guntur Medical College in Guntur, India. After graduation, he moved to the United States, where he completed an internal medicine residency at Canton Medical Education Foundation in Canton, Ohio. He has been practicing in Fort Worth since 2010 as a hospitalist and co-founded Medical Associates of North Texas along with Dr. Siripurapu in 2016. His focus is on managing patients with high-acuity, complex medical problems.
In the outpatient setting, Dr. Kankanala values building long-term relationships with his patients, managing acute conditions, and incorporating preventive care to help keep patients healthy and out of the hospital. He has a special interest in caring for complex internal medicine issues in post-operative and transplant patients.
In his free time, Dr. Kankanala enjoys playing tennis, golfing, and watching the NFL and NBA. He is also a big fan of LeBron James.
