Alyssa Whicker is a nationally board-certified and state-licensed Physician Assistant. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in Exercise and Sport Science and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. Upon graduation, she worked in various healthcare positions as a Physical Therapy Aide, Exercise Physiologist, and Pharmacy Technician in her hometown of Durham, North Carolina. Those experiences eventually brought her to Texas where she completed her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Hardin-Simmons University. She is excited to be staying in Texas and making Fort Worth her new home. As a PA, Alyssa strives to build long-term relationships with patients by being an advocate for patients’ access to quality health care and ensuring patients are included in the decision-making process of their care.
In her free time, Alyssa loves to watch various reality TV shows and documentaries, paint, read, attend concerts, exercise, and spend time with her cat, Artemis.
