Weight Loss Doctor in Fort Worth

A real physician behind your weight loss, with your whole health in view

Our Approach

Weight loss managed by a doctor, not a product

Most weight loss offers in Fort Worth start with a medication or a membership. Ours starts with a physician. Our doctors, board-certified in internal medicine, the specialty built around adult health, look at your weight alongside your blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, thyroid, and sleep. Labs are drawn in our office, the plan is built on your numbers and your history, and GLP-1 medications are prescribed only where they are the right fit. Text us ahead and we will check what your plan covers.

Excellent care and a welcoming environment. The staff is professional, kind, and attentive from the moment you walk in, and the doctors take the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and truly care. Highly recommended for quality medical care in Fort Worth.

Why Choose Us

Why trust us with weight loss

Physicians Lead Every Plan

Every weight loss plan here is led by one of our four physicians, all board-certified in internal medicine, the specialty built around adult health. Nothing is built around a single medication or a sales script; the medicine comes first, and a prescription follows only when it fits.

Whole Health, Not Just Weight

Weight rarely travels alone. Blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, thyroid, and sleep are reviewed and managed in the same plan by the same team, so the rest of your health is treated alongside the weight.

Labs Drawn in Our Office

Bloodwork is drawn here before you start and as you go, with many results during the visit, so medication decisions rest on current numbers rather than guesses. Telehealth covers check-ins between visits.

Listened To, Never Rushed

Patients consistently describe our providers as never rushed, willing to listen, and clear about the plan. That is the standard for every weight loss visit, starting with the first one.

Conditions We Treat

Weight-related conditions we manage together

Obesity & Excess Weight

Physician-guided care for adults carrying more weight than is healthy, built on your labs, your history, and your daily life, with GLP-1 medications prescribed where they fit.

Rising Blood Sugar

Blood sugar labs run in our office flag rising numbers early, so weight loss and treatment can start before a diagnosis.

Type 2 Diabetes

Diabetes managed alongside your weight, with in-office labs and a diabetic eye exam on site, since weight loss and blood sugar control support each other.

High Blood Pressure

Hypertension is tracked and treated as part of your weight plan, since losing weight and lowering blood pressure tend to go hand in hand.

High Cholesterol

Cholesterol and heart risk are measured with bloodwork here, then managed within the weight plan so both move in the right direction together.

Thyroid Conditions

An underactive thyroid can make weight hard to move. We test for it, treat it, and keep monitoring it as part of your overall care rather than separately.

Sleep Apnea

Excess weight and poor sleep feed each other. A home sleep study arranged through our practice checks for apnea so your physician knows.

Weight-Related Joint Pain

Extra weight strains knees, hips, and back. We treat the pain, with in-office joint injections, as you work on the weight.

Our Services

How we help you lose weight

Physician Evaluation & Plan

A full visit with a doctor: your history, your medications, your labs, and a weight plan built from them.

GLP-1 Medication Management

Where a GLP-1 medication fits, your physician prescribes it, monitors your response, and adjusts the dose over time. We check what your plan covers.

In-Office Labs & Bloodwork

Labs are drawn in the office, before anything is prescribed and again at follow-ups, and many results come back during the visit.

Ongoing Monitoring Visits

Regular check-ins track weight, blood pressure, labs, and side effects, so the plan changes when your body does rather than drifting.

Telehealth Follow-Ups

Secure video visits from home for progress checks, medication questions, and adjustments that do not need a hands-on exam.

Related-Condition Management

Diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, and sleep handled by the same team in the same plan, so nothing gets managed in isolation.

Meet Your Providers

The physicians and providers behind your plan

Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physicians & Team

Weight loss at Medical Associates of North Texas is led by physicians and supported by a team. Ravi Siripurapu, MD, Suresh Kankanala, MD, Ganesh Arun, DO, and Chandramohan Mudaliar, MD are each board-certified in internal medicine, the specialty built around adult health, and they work alongside experienced physician assistants and a family nurse practitioner who follow the same plan.

For the patient here for weight, that team covers the whole picture: a physician evaluation and weight plan, GLP-1 medications prescribed and monitored where they fit, bloodwork drawn in the office, diabetes and blood pressure care, cholesterol and thyroid management, home sleep studies arranged when needed, and follow-up by telehealth between visits.

Because the group shares one record, you are not tied to one calendar. If your physician is out, another provider picks up your plan where it stands. More providers also means more openings across our Fort Worth and Weatherford offices, where same and next-day slots are kept available as a matter of priority.

When you are unsure where to begin, a quick text or an online appointment request is enough; we will suggest the right first visit from there.

How It Works

Three steps to begin

Send a text or book online; we reply with a time.

2

3

Start Feeling Better

Start the plan, check in regularly, and adjust as your numbers change.

FAQ

Common questions answered

Do you accept my insurance?

Most major insurance plans are accepted here. Coverage for weight loss visits and GLP-1 medications differs by plan, though, so text or call ahead and we will check what yours includes.

Usually within days, not weeks. We make it a priority to keep same and next-day openings available Monday through Friday. Patients who reach out often get in the same or next day. Walk-ins work too; just text us first so we can confirm a slot. Follow-ups can be done by telehealth when no exam is needed.

No. You can book a weight loss visit directly, though a few insurance plans ask for a referral on their side, and our staff can help you sort that out.

Your photo ID and insurance card come first, then a complete list of what you take: prescriptions, supplements, and anything you have tried for weight loss in the past. Recent labs or records from a previous doctor help too, since your plan is built on your history.

Yes. Adults looking for weight loss care can join the practice as new patients at either office, Fort Worth or Weatherford, and we leave openings for first visits so nobody is stuck waiting weeks.

MANT has been such a breath of fresh air. The staff is always on time, everything runs smoothly, and my PA Nicole Barnes goes above and beyond, the kindest and most thorough provider I’ve had. Easy online scheduling and labs on site.

What A Weight Loss Doctor Should Be

Searching for a weight loss doctor in Fort Worth turns up med spas, apps, and clinics built around a single injection. What most people actually want is a physician: someone qualified to decide whether a medication is safe for them, and someone who will notice what else is going on. At Medical Associates of North Texas, weight loss is managed by doctors board-certified in internal medicine, the specialty built around adult health. That means the same physician weighing the benefits of a GLP-1 medication is also watching your blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, thyroid, and sleep. Expectations stay honest. We do not promise a number on the scale by a date; we build a plan from your labs and your history, adjust it as your body responds, and treat the conditions that extra weight drags along with it. Nutrition is taught by the physician inside the visit rather than sold as a separate program. More than 1,800 patients have rated the practice 4.8 stars on Google, and that record is worth reading before you choose anyone to manage your weight.

Your First Visit And What Follows

A weight loss visit here begins like any other visit with an internist, a doctor who specializes in adults: a conversation about your history, what you have tried, the medications you take, and how your days actually run. We draw your bloodwork in the office, and many results are back during the visit itself; when diabetes is part of the picture, a diabetic eye exam is available on site too. From there your physician builds the plan. Where a GLP-1 medication is the right fit, it is prescribed and monitored by that physician, and we check what your plan covers before anything is filled. Where it is not the right fit, you will hear that too. Related conditions are handled in the same room: blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, a home sleep study arranged when apnea is suspected, joint injections for knees that hurt under the load. Follow-up visits track your weight, your numbers, and any side effects, and telehealth covers the check-ins that do not need an exam. The physicians, Ravi Siripurapu, MD, Suresh Kankanala, MD, Ganesh Arun, DO, and Chandramohan Mudaliar, MD, work from one shared record with the physician assistants and nurse practitioner on the team, so any provider you see continues your plan.

Fort Worth And Weatherford Offices

Our Fort Worth office is at 1023 Lipscomb St, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76104, with a second office at 2111 Fort Worth Hwy, Weatherford, TX 76086. Both are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and both answer the same phone and text number, 972-544-6600. Weight loss care at both is led by the same board-certified physicians. Most patients start by texting us, and we reply to set a time. If you would rather book online, the scheduler lists current openings by office, provider, and visit type; a question can go through the form on this page instead. Most major insurance plans are accepted, and since GLP-1 and weight loss visit coverage is not the same from one plan to the next, we check what your plan covers ahead of your first appointment. Across both offices, more than 1,800 patients have rated the practice 4.8 stars on Google, and the reviews keep describing the same things: caring staff, clear explanations, visits that are never rushed. We treat adults only. Both the Fort Worth and Weatherford offices are taking new patients, with room held for first visits rather than a weeks-long wait.

Start With A Real Doctor

The simplest way to begin is a text; booking online and the question form work too. Same and next-day openings are kept available at both offices.
