Our Approach
Weight loss medicine with a doctor behind it
Plenty of places in Fort Worth will sell you a weight loss injection; fewer put a physician in charge of it. Our doctors are board-certified in internal medicine, the specialty built around adult health, and they treat weight the way they treat blood pressure: as part of the whole picture. The first visit is an honest look at your history, your medications, and your labs, drawn in the office. If a GLP-1 medication fits, we prescribe it and keep watching how you do; if it does not, we say so. Send a text first and we will look up what your plan covers.
Excellent care and a welcoming environment. The staff is professional, kind, and attentive from the moment you walk in, and the doctors take the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and truly care. Highly recommended for quality medical care in Fort Worth.
Why Choose Us
Why it matters who prescribes it
Prescribed by Your Physician
The doctor who writes your GLP-1 prescription is the same board-certified internal medicine physician, a specialist in adult health, who manages your blood pressure, your cholesterol, and everything else on your chart. Nothing about your weight is treated in isolation.
In-Office Labs
Bloodwork is drawn in our office before you start and at follow-ups along the way, with many results during the visit, so decisions about your medication rest on your numbers rather than guesswork.
Honest About Whether It Fits You
GLP-1 medications are not right for everyone, and we say so. After reviewing your history and labs, our providers tell you plainly whether an injection makes sense for you or whether another path fits better.
Follow-Ups That Fit Your Schedule
Monitoring visits happen in person at either office or by secure video when no exam is needed, and if your usual provider is out, another one steps in with your full chart.
Conditions We Treat
Weight-related conditions we manage alongside treatment
Excess Weight
Physician-guided treatment for adults carrying weight that affects their health, with GLP-1 medications prescribed when they are the right fit and progress reviewed at each visit.
Prediabetes Management
Early blood sugar changes caught with in-office labs and managed closely, often alongside weight treatment, to lower the odds of diabetes.
Type 2 Diabetes
Blood sugar control with labs run in our office, a diabetic eye exam on site, and weight treatment that works toward the same goal.
High Blood Pressure
Hypertension monitored and treated at the same visits as your weight loss medication, since the two so often move together.
High Cholesterol
Cholesterol and cardiovascular risk tracked through bloodwork drawn here, with treatment adjusted as your weight and your numbers change.
Underactive & Overactive Thyroid
Underactive and overactive thyroid tested and treated as part of your weight evaluation, since thyroid function can shape how your body holds weight and how well any medication works.
Weight-Related Sleep Apnea
A home sleep study arranged through the practice when weight and poor sleep point toward apnea, with the results reviewed by your provider.
Joint Pain
Knee and hip pain made worse by extra weight, with joint injections available in the office when they are appropriate.
Our Services
The weight loss services we provide
GLP-1 Evaluation & Prescribing
A physician reviews your history and labs and prescribes a GLP-1 medication when it is the right fit for you.
Bloodwork Drawn Here
Baseline and follow-up bloodwork drawn here, with many results during the visit, so your treatment is guided by current numbers.
Ongoing Monitoring Visits
Regular check-ins at either office to review your progress, your labs, and how you feel on the medication, with same and next-day openings kept available Monday through Friday when something comes up.
Dose & Side-Effect Management
Your provider manages the dose over time and works through nausea or other side effects with you, adjusting the plan rather than leaving you to tough it out.
Telehealth Follow-Ups
When a check-in does not call for an exam, it can happen over secure video, which keeps a medication question or a progress review from eating into your workday.
Care for Related Conditions
Blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and thyroid managed by the same team at the same visits, so weight treatment never happens in isolation.

Meet Your Providers
The team behind your weight loss care
Physician-Led Care, Board-Certified in Internal Medicine
Weight loss medication at Medical Associates of North Texas is prescribed and followed by a team rather than a single calendar. The group is led by Ravi Siripurapu, MD, Suresh Kankanala, MD, Ganesh Arun, DO, and Chandramohan Mudaliar, MD, each board-certified in internal medicine, the specialty built around adult health, with experienced physician assistants and a family nurse practitioner working alongside them.
For patients on GLP-1 injections, that means the people adjusting your dose are the same people managing your blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and thyroid, running your labs in the office, and handling the everyday needs of adult primary care, from annual physicals to sudden illness.
Every provider works from the same records and the same plan, so whoever you see for a follow-up starts from where the last visit left off. Between scheduled visits you have two offices, Fort Worth and Weatherford, video check-ins, and a team that prioritizes keeping same and next-day openings available.
If you are not sure an injection is right for you, text our team or request an appointment. We will talk through your history and point you to the right next step.

FAQ
Common questions, answered
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most major insurance plans. Whether a GLP-1 medication is covered depends on your plan, so text or call before your first visit and we will find out where yours stands.
How quickly can I be seen?
Usually fast. We prioritize keeping same and next-day openings available Monday through Friday, and patients often get in that quickly. On weekdays you can also walk in; send a text first so we can confirm a slot is open. Once you start medication, follow-ups can be in person or by secure video.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
In most cases, no referral is needed; you can book a weight loss visit directly. If your insurance plan requires one for certain visits, our office will help you work through it.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of every medication and supplement you take. If you have tried weight loss medication before or have recent lab results from another doctor, bring those records too; they shape what we recommend.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. New adult patients are welcome for weight loss care at both the Fort Worth and Weatherford offices, and we hold room on the schedule so your first visit is not weeks away.
MANT has been such a breath of fresh air. The staff is always on time, everything runs smoothly, and my PA Nicole Barnes goes above and beyond, the kindest and most thorough provider I’ve had. Easy online scheduling and labs on site.
Physician-Prescribed Weight Loss Injections In Fort Worth
If you are looking for weight loss injections in Fort Worth, the first question worth asking is who will be prescribing them. GLP-1 medications are a class of prescription drugs, given as injections, that act on appetite and blood sugar and are prescribed for adults who have struggled to lose weight on their own. They are also real medicine, with side effects, interactions, and reasons some people should not take them. That is why Medical Associates of North Texas treats them the way it treats any prescription: a board-certified internal medicine physician, a doctor who specializes in adults, reviews your history, draws your labs in the office, and decides with you whether a GLP-1 medication is the right fit. If you have high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, or high cholesterol, the same physician manages those too, so nothing gets adjusted in a vacuum. We are not a med spa and this is not a package. It is medicine, and weight is one more part of your health we are glad to take on.
What Happens At Your Weight Loss Visit
The first visit is an evaluation, not a sales pitch. Your provider goes through your medical history, your current medications, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping for. Bloodwork is drawn right here, with many results during the visit, so the conversation about medication happens with your numbers on the table. From there, the decision is made together: if a GLP-1 injection is the right fit, we prescribe it, explain how to take it, and walk through what to expect in the first weeks; if it is not, we say so and talk about what else makes sense. Nutrition comes up at every visit, taught by your physician inside the appointment as part of the plan. Follow-ups track your progress, your labs, and any side effects, with dose adjustments made by the same provider, and many of those check-ins can happen by secure video when an exam is not needed. Because our physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioner work from the same records, seeing any one of them keeps your care moving forward instead of starting over.
A great office with a very attentive staff. The providers always take their time and are incredibly thorough. I’ve been going here for about 10 years and will keep coming back.
Manpreet Rattan was so attentive to my concerns and genuinely caring. She took the time to explain everything and map out a plan to better my health, and the staff is lovely.
One Team, Two Locations
Our Fort Worth office is at 1023 Lipscomb St, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76104, and our Weatherford office is at 2111 Fort Worth Hwy, Weatherford, TX 76086. Both are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and both answer the same phone and text number, 972-544-6600. Care at both locations is led by the same board-certified physicians, so you can start at one office and follow up at the other. Text is how most patients first reach us, and we reply to confirm a time. If you would rather book yourself, the online scheduler lists current openings by office, provider, and visit type, and the question form on this page is for anyone who wants an answer before committing to a visit. We take most major insurance plans. Since GLP-1 coverage is different on every plan, we look yours up before the first visit instead of guessing. More than 1,800 patients have rated the practice 4.8 stars on Google, and the reviews keep returning to a caring staff, clear explanations, and visits that never feel rushed. We care for adults only, and new patients are welcome at both offices.
